CHOOSE
To eat or not to eat. That is the question.
Choose. To write or not to write.
Choose.Work. Sleep. Play.
Choose.Delivered unscathed from the maternal womb. Breathe.
Choose.Tentatively totter on tiny tubby legs.
Choose.Fall over. Start over. Do over.
Choose.Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner.
Choose.Failure. Success. Happiness. Sadness.
Living and loving a meaningful life.
Choose.Rest a weary soul.
Choose.Guilt. Forgiveness. Denial. Acceptance.
Every thought I have.
Choose.

Hi Simone,
When I was in early recovery choosing was an exhausting business. It gets better. When I was on holidays I felt my food behaviours slipping into some sort of chaos. I kept trying each day to pull up and my carb intake went ballistic. It made a holiday a double edged sword, did I enjoy myself, or was I just treading with my head above water? Anyway the best thing I heard was on MFP of all places and it was this, losing weight is hard, being fit is hard, being obese is hard, (whatever it is you do compulsively is hard – my added bit)
Choose your hard.
Thank you Gael 🙂 You’re so right – no easy choices. Nobody said it would be easy! Yesterday was a tough day emotionally – for one reason and another. Today I have (magically) stuck to my plan. Perfectly 😀 I picked my socks up and made better choices. xx
